A reimagining of the iconic ice cream cover with added gold foil and embossed details, the new format is presented in a gatefold sleeve and available as a half-speed mastered, single gold disc for the first time. The Magic Whip is Blur's eighth studio album and includes the tracks Ghost Ship, Go Out, Lonesome Street, and Ong Ong.

This bundle also includes The Magic Whip Anniversary Black Bomber Jacket (Limited Edition), featuring illustrations designed by Tony Hung.

"My reworking for the anniversary edition was inspired by a deep dive into the album’s lyrics. Here, I found more intensity, anxiety and a dystopian edge, all of which I wanted to convey in the new edition.

Upturned, the now spoilt ice cream brought a heavier tone, whilst the cone suggested a tower-like structure. The idea of an active broadcast tower, soaring above the clouds felt oppressive and menacing, suitably setting the scene. The final cover art was achieved by juxtaposing the above with the vibrant aesthetic and colours associated with ‘lai see' (lucky money) envelopes; a traditional Chinese gesture, where said envelopes (containing money) are gifted to loved ones during special occasions such as the lunar new year, birthdays, anniversaries etc. Perfectly befitting the magic whip's l0th anniversary, wherein our package contains the gift of music.”

-Tony Hung on the 10th anniversary album artwork

Tracklisting:

SIDE A

Lonesome Street

New World Towers

Go Out

Ice Cream Man

Thought I Was a Spaceman

I Broadcast

SIDE B

My Terracotta Heart

There Are Too Many of Us

Ghost Ship

Pyongyang

Ong Ong

Mirrorball

https://store.warnermusic.com.my/ms/products/the-magic-whip-anniversary-vinyl-black-bomber-jacket-bundle
